 Kristie McKillip is Director of Business Development for the Indy Partnership. Kristie’s role is to build relationships with companies and business consultants both domestically and in Europe (specifically, Germany, France and the U.K.). Her goal is to raise awareness about the Indianapolis Region and assist companies who may be considering a direct investment in the area. Kristie, along with the business development team at the Indy Partnership, is responsible for facilitating businesses with the site selection and relocation process.
Kristie has over seven years of economic development experience working at both the local and state level throughout her career. As Economic Development Director for Boone County, Kristie was instrumental in the recent location of Medco Health Solutions to the Region. Medco will build the world’s largest automated pharmacy in Whitestown, IN filling over 1 million prescriptions per week. The $150M project will result in 1300 high-paying jobs when the facility is fully operational in 2010. The Medco project marked one of the largest economic development projects in the State in 2007.
At the State level, working for the Indiana Department of Commerce, Kristie managed a portfolio of projects with the potential to generate over $1 billion in new investment to the State of Indiana. Successful projects under Kristie’s direction resulted in over $45 million in new investment to the State of Indiana and over 384 newly-created jobs.
Kristie holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University Southeast. She currently lives in downtown Indianapolis with her husband, Michael.
