In 1972, Harold "Hap" Skillman founded The Skillman Corporation with a belief that his business would "build relationships, not just buildings." Starting as an Indiana construction management organization run by a single entrepreneur, the company’s services and geographic locations have expanded throughout the Midwest.
 
The Skillman Corporation’s clients include private and public entities such as healthcare, commercial, industrial, educational facilities and municipalities.  The Skillman Corporation has completed over 500 projects with over 60 different design firms.  Our staff of 66 employees services clients from offices in Indianapolis, Indiana; Merrillville, Indiana; Evansville, Indiana; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Skillman Corporation continues to be a leader in the construction industry providing a wide array of construction management and project administration services for all types of private and public owners. The key to Skillman’s successful evolution stems from a commitment to serve its employees and clients with a high level of integrity and respect. For 38 years, The Skillman Corporation has assisted clients and their design professionals by performing Cost Estimating, Cost Benefit Analysis and Life Cycle Costing of many emerging building trends and technologies. The Skillman Corporation has always been committed to being good corporate citizens by advocating programs that benefit the communities we live in, and the stewardship of our environment is one of those benefits. The Skillman Corporation now has a total of 15 LEED Accredited Professionals on staff.
